Patricia Wonder – USCIS Managing Attorney
Patricia Wonder is a dedicated immigration attorney with nearly three decades of experience in the field, including over twenty-two years as a licensed attorney advocating for immigrants, their families, and their employers. She currently serves as a Senior Attorney and USCIS Team Division Manager at Fayad Law, P.C., where her leadership and deep institutional knowledge help guide the firm’s efforts in navigating complex immigration systems with care, integrity, and precision.
Throughout her career, Patricia has remained focused on one central mission: to help people achieve stability and opportunity in the United States through fair, thorough, and compassionate legal representation. Her experience spans the full spectrum of immigration law, with a particular focus on employment-based immigration. She is also highly skilled in handling difficult and nuanced cases, including waiver applications, motions to reopen or appeal, family-based petitions, and naturalization.
Patricia’s journey in immigration law began with public service. She worked for the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)—now USCIS—as a District Adjudications Officer in Newark, NJ, where she assessed eligibility for green card applications. Upon graduating from law school, she was selected for the highly prestigious Attorney General’s Honor Program, through which she began a judicial clerkship with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). Patricia later served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Newark Immigration Court and then as an Attorney Advisor for the Immigration Court in New York, NY. These formative years gave her a rare, inside view of the immigration court system—an experience that continues to inform her work as an advocate.
In private practice, Patricia has worked with several well-respected immigration law firms, including representing clients as large and high-profile as one of the world’s top investment banks. Her ability to handle both high-stakes corporate immigration matters and deeply personal family petitions speaks to her unique versatility and commitment to every client she serves.
Beyond her legal practice, Patricia is also a respected educator. She spent 15 years as an Assistant Professor teaching Immigration Law at the City University of New York (CUNY SPS), where she mentored the next generation of immigration professionals.
At her core, Patricia believes that immigration law is about people—their stories, struggles, and hopes for a better life. That belief aligns closely with the mission of Fayad Law, a firm known for combining legal excellence with a deep sense of care for the immigrant community. Patricia brings not just knowledge, but empathy, to every case she handles.
Outside of work, Patricia is the proud mother of a remarkable fourteen-year-old son. She also enjoys quiet walks on the beach with her loyal dog, Lucy—a grounding contrast to her intense and impactful work in the courtroom and legal community.
